Two Referentia projects, Smart Data Flow and Agile Coalition Environment, rank first and fifth among 41 'Most Promising Technologies' at Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration 2008
Referentia Systems Incorporated announced today that its Smart Data Flow (SDF) software project received the first place ranking out of 41 "Most Promising Technologies" at the 2008 Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID) held at over 20 locations worldwide. The company also received a fifth place CWID ranking for its Agile Coalition Environment (ACE) project. Both projects were sponsored for the event by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
"We are honored that both our SDF and ACE projects received such high rankings at the CWID event," said Nelson Kanemoto, CEO and founder of Referentia Systems Incorporated. "The success of these projects was the result of a substantial development effort plus the strong support, commitment, and vision we received from our partners at the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM)."
SDF is an ONR and USPACOM initiative that provides an intelligent network management solution for controlling and configuring network devices in real-time. The SDF software's extensive visualization capabilities and intelligent user interface improve network situational awareness and allow less seasoned IT operators to manage networks more effectively with reduced risk of error. SDF also manages traffic load and quality of service (QoS) to ensure network reliability. Referentia is commercializing its SDF technology through a spinoff company called ActionPacked! Networks (www.actionpacked.com).
ACE is a USPACOM initiative designed to provide a foundation for secure and agile enclave instantiation and cross domain access. Using best-of-breed technologies, ACE is an evolving solution set that offers accreditable systems and capabilities through a spiral development, accreditation, and deployment process. The ACE virtual client workstation and collapsed network architecture provide easier to use and more cost effective computer networks for the military.
CWID is an annual event directed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that enables Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Services, Agencies, and the international community to investigate new and emerging net-centric solutions that focus on validated near-term Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capability gaps in the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of Homeland Security (DHS) arena.
